METRIC, Inc. has worked extensively with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Minority Institutions (MIs) and has used cooperative working agreements to ensure access to some of the most highly trained and experienced technical and professional resources, access to state-of-the-art facilities and overall assistance with business program development and implementation.

The relationship between METRIC and its university partners is based, in principle, on a spirit of cooperation to provide a potential mechanism to add resources to our nation’s management, technology development and information technology efforts. Both parties work to enhance their capabilities to conduct technology development, management and information technology programs and projects for agencies of the Federal, State and local governments and private industry and to pursue potential opportunities in the areas of applied technology and information management systems.

Overall, the cooperative relationship between METRIC and its university partners improves the competitiveness of small businesses, HBCU/MIs, and MBEs in the global marketplace via advancing innovative technologies, facilities and training resources.

METRIC has close working relationships with Clark Atlanta University, North Carolina A&T University, Florida International University, the HBCU/MI Environmental Technology Consortium, the HBCU/MI Research Alliance (HMIRA), the UNCF Special Programs Corporation and the newly organized Minority Institution Manufacturing Alliance (MIMA).
